Implementing partners for the Collective Action for the Sustainable Wash services in Dedza project met last week in a final partner organisations’ workshop to discuss the strides made during the three year project implementation period as the project ends this December. Since August 2019, Wesnetwork-Water and Environmental Sanitation Network has been implementing the Systems Strengthening Initiative project in Malawi with funding from the Federal German Economic Cooperation through Welt Hunger Hilfe. Among others the project aimed to strengthen coordination of CSOs, government, private sector, and research institutions for knowledge sharing, scaling up and out of best practices, and complementary action in WASH activities. It also aimed to enhance advocacy and awareness of key WASH policy issues by relevant government departments, donors, CSOs, politicians and parliamentary committees.
