Facilitated by the Ministry of Forestry and Natural Resources, the WASH sector conducts an annual review process commonly termed as the Joint Sector Review (JSR). The aim of the review is to engage stakeholders in assessing performance, challenges and emerging issues in the sector.
As part of Mutual Accountability Mechanisms (MAM) which is being supported by Water Supply and Sanitation Collaborative Council (WSSCC), for the first time, this year the Joint sector reviews will be conducted from districts, regions and then at national level. This is to ensure that all players at all levels are held accountable, are participating and are also capacitated to review performance and are conversant of the sectoral gaps, challenges and progress hence the theme: “Stakeholder Collaboration: A Step Towards Reaching Everyone”.
The Southern region JSR has been scheduled for Tuesday 3rd November 2020 in Blantyre at Malawi Sun Hotel
